New Milton Sand & Ballast – BEEing Green
New Milton Sand & Ballast (NMSB) is an award-winning company, nationally recognised for its standards of quality assurance, environmental performance and its innovative approach to recycling.
The Aim
To refocus public perception of NMSB as an environmentally responsible company with positive links to the community via the two complementary initiatives under the educational umbrella of the NMSB Green BEE campaign. (Business, Education, Environment). The NMSB Schools Green BEE Competition was aimed at Year 5 and 6 pupils, to present a project on an environmental feature they felt would make their school surroundings complete. NMSB would then fund the creation of the winning project up to the value of £2,500. NMSB also sponsored a number of educational trails in event showgrounds which became known as NMSB Track the Green BEE Educational Trails.
The Approach
- CG engaged with relevant third parties to maximise the impact of the campaign and to enhance distribution networks
- CG developed and took forward leads and approaches generated by the campaign
- If necessary, CG was to seek and manage appropriate celebrity endorsements or celebrity sponsorship opportunities and relationships on behalf of NMSB
- CG provided a media monitoring service
- If required, CG was to source good value external specialist suppliers
- In order to maximise the Green BEE awards, CG developed Green BEE web pages on the NMSB website
The Results
An integrated communication plan strengthened the overall Green BEE campaign and the image of the company as not only environmentally aware but responsible as well. The Green BEE has been developed to create new, extended initiatives.
